Can Seattle Get Over The Hump?
Can Seattle Get Over The Hump?
By Tim Riggins
Seattle has had the majority of their roster together since the original GSB Draft in Season 1. The team has consistently made the playoffs, but has fallen short of the Finals each season. This season seems to be a little different for the Orcas as they seem to be favored to reach the finals and compete for a championship.
The newly acquired, Quan Wulong-Chi has been one of the better acquisitions from a contending team this season as the All-GSB hopeful SF has been a terrific all-around player for them this season. The bigs in Williams, Medici, Nox, and Racoon keep playing at a consistent level and are arguably the best/deepest front court in the league. The Stern brothers have kept up their defensive tenacity to give opposing team’s scorers a nightmare when they match up against them. Nick Hill and Oden have been scoring efficiently this season to give the Orcas some perimeter scoring whenever they need a bucket.
The Orcas staff are also deservingly up for COTY and FOTY as they developed the top seeded team this season. Seattle has the chance to destroy the Martians momentum and earn their first bid to the Finals where they look to finally bring a championship home to the state of Washington.
