GSB Other Notable Moves Around The League

Atlantic City Lands Carter and Ike

The Sea Dogs sent assets in picks and IP to the rebuilding Portland Pioneers in exchange for PF RaeSean Carter and C Aaron Ike who signed with Portland to be S&T to AC. Carter has been one of the better and most consistent PF in the league during his 3 year career. Ike played 2 seasons as the Michigan Killer Beez starting center, being a big part of their success on both ends of the court, before he sat out during S3. Carter and Ike join Rickey Spyder and newly signed Pharoah Dotson (also a former Pioneer) to form arguably one of the best front courts in the league to push them to contenders. 

Scooby Lewis to Boston

Nola sent Lewis (and S4 1st) to the Boston Militia for Ip and a S6 1st. Lewis has always been a very solid piece for the Nola franchise in his 3 seasons spent playing for them, but now looks for his opportunity to take the next step in his career towards being the man of a team. Boston has made some underrated moves this offseason. They did lose S2 SG Dex Matty who was a very good scorer for the team, but in his place they have added 2 S1 guards in PG Aaron Hughes and now SG Scooby Lewis. Those 2 guards gave Boston much needed experience to help them push them towards their first playoff appearance.

Motor City Lands 2 Point Guards

Before the 4 team trade that both Motor City and New York ended up being a part of, these 2 teams made a separate deal with each other. New York sent PG’s Robert Ivory and Hunter Jackson to Motor City in exchange for SF Damien Chambers and a 2nd round pick. The Muscle had 0 PG’s on roster before this trade after trading star PG Truck Turner so them landing 2 in this trade (Ivory being a S1 guy) is a nice get for them to help rebuild that position on their team. For NY, they had 4 PGs on the team and sending 2 of them off for a 6’9 SF gives them a better balanced roster and size on the perimeter. Chambers is a super underrated player who put up 15 ppg last season and should be a starting SG in the big apple or a potential 6MOTY candidate.
