GSB Season 4 Overview

The Golden Era Has Arrived

It’s that time again—time for some good ol' GSB basketball, where every game is high stakes and every team has something to prove. This season, all 16 teams that you know and love are back, but with a flair. Seven of them have rebranded, relocated, or reinvented themselves. Now some teams just spruced up their colors; but others packed up, moved, or rolled out completely new logos. Why, you ask? Because mediocrity doesn’t look good on anyone. No, there's just nothing wrong with spicing things up or creating a new identity. Sometimes it's needed.

So, what is all this 'Golden Era' jazz about, well, I'm glad you asked. I'm calling this the start of the GSB Golden Era—because our original Season 1 rookies are now seasoned veterans with three seasons of progressions, stat boosts, high-stakes showdowns, and rivalries under their belts. They’re battle-tested, they’re evolved, they're household names and the level of parity has never been better. That means we are in line for a ton of nail-biters, dramatic comebacks, and Cinderella stories waiting to unfold.

And while we’re at it, the rumors may be true: League Expansion could be on the horizon. Yes, you read that right. After a monster rookie class and an extremely active off-season the GSB is feeling a little bit crowded in the best way possible, so keep your eyes peeled for news regarding new teams or expansion ideas.

And because the admins never stop innovating, they've packed this season with a host of new features and fresh surprises. Here’s a peek:

The New Structure

Out with the 4-team pod divisions and in with two dynamic 8-team conferences. This shift gives the league new matchups, unpredictable rivalries, and no room to hide. As now, with a 17-week schedule, each team plays every other team at least once, meaning every fan will see exactly how their team stacks up. The Elite Conference and the Premier Conference are here, and every team is ready to dominate:

Elite Conference

  • Boston Militia
  • Dallas Flying Stallions (S3 Playoff Team)
  • Las Vegas Spades (S3 Playoff Team) - formerly the Baltimore Constellation
  • Motor City Muscle - formerly the Michigan Killer Beez
  • Oakland Otters
  • Oceanside Surfs (S3 Playoff Team) formerly the Kentucky Reserve
  • Ohio Basketball Team (S3 GSB Finals Runner-ups- formerly the Ohio Shaman
  • San Antonio Reapers - formerly the San Antonio Stampede

Premier Conference

  • Albuquerque Martians (S3 Playoff Team)
  • Atlantic City Sea Dogs (S3 Playoff Team)
  • New York Skyliners
  • NOLA Riders
  • Pittsburgh Steelhawks - formerly the Virginia Merfolk
  • Portland Pioneers (S3 Playoff Team)
  • Seattle Orcas (S3 GSB Finals Champions)
  • Vice City Kings

[teams are in alphabetical order]

Each team will get a bye week to rest and reload, but don't get too relaxed because we’ve officially moved All-Star festivities to the end of the season. So no more of that mid-season slowdown—it’s full steam ahead until a champion is crowned. There will be a GSB Celebration Week probably around mid-season (in-lieu of All-Star Break). Celebration Week will still have regular season games like usual, but, also some cool prizes, activities, and events to keep fans engaged and entertained all day and night long.

GSB Player Customization

This season, players are coming to life like never before. With the latest and greatest in face scan technology, IT'S IN THE GAME... wrong developer. We'll get to see your one-of-a-kind style, maybe even that legendary smirk after a game-winning shot. And if that’s not enough, there are custom tattoos. So go ahead, slap that GSB logo on your arm, or get a "Hoe Jarris owes me child support," tat on your face.

This season is setting up to be the biggest and boldest yet. Are you ready for the GSB Golden Era?
