Season 4
Monday Night Games
- 7:30 PM ET: Atlantic City Sea Dogs vs. The Ohio Basketball Team
Atlantic City is coming into this season with some serious momentum after gobbling up some quality offseason scallywags. The team is headlined by stars like Ricky Spyder and Hoe Jarris, but the additions of Pharaoh Dotson and Rae'sean Carter (both from Portland) makes them even more deep and savvy. Their bench looked incredible to end last season, even though they succumbed to an early playoff exit; expect players like Jason Voorhees, Cash Wallace, and Javiar Munoz (S3 All-Star MVP) to make an even more serious jump as the Sea Dogs aim to make a big splash this season. And, I'd be remiss to not mention Gwen Gwen. Who are they? I don't know, but it's time to find out. Atlantic City's high-octane offense will be tested early on against Ohio's stout defense.
Nonetheless, The Ohio Basketball Team is undergoing a bit of roster turnover after losing key players like Muddy Blunts (Season 3 MVP), Elias Machara, and Scout Mitchell. But Ohio’s new-look squad, will be led by the uber talented and now extremely hairy, Slimer Puffenstuff and Ethan 'Pullup From Anywhere' Lederman. Both of who are ready to show that they’re still a force to be reckoned with and keep Ohio in contending mode. The pair could not be a more ironic duo though, one hates to shoot and the other loves to. Expect a thrilling clash as these two squads try to set the tone for the season.
- 9:30 PM ET: Las Vegas Spades vs. Vice City Kings
Las Vegas (formerly the Baltimore Constellation) are sticking to what worked so well last season, bringing back much of their roster, and adding Jason Breeze Jr. and S3 All-Star & Dunk Contest Champion Bobby Bricks for some added athleticism and scoring punch. Veterans Aldo Huxley and Tim Riggins are eager to start strong, aiming to bring their unique combination of grit and precision to the court. Las Vegas put the league on notice last season, preaching the almighty power of defense. Fully expect them to be the best defensive team in the league this season. Jamal Davis is foaming at the mouth ready to finally clinch a Defensive Player of the Year award. Timo Shuttlesworth also showed all playoff run long that he is the truth, look for him to start out hot this game as well.
Vice City Kings, in the other corner, will once again be known for their athleticism and explosive play. They will look to outrun and outgun their opponents while also flashing their newest gadget in Truck Turner, an A+ certified bucket-getter. This one’s sure to be a high-action, back-and-forth battle that could be close at times. We will see if Vice City has the horses to fully stay in the race at the end. Recently acquired, Petey Wheatstraw (All-GSB 3rd Team) will help B Fazo take over the void that Al Padraza left. Vice City will look to slash, but also have capable shooters in Zima Blue and King James II, both who will attack from long range and at the rim.
