Hakuna Matata Returns To GSB As Staff
Hakuna Matata Signs With Albuquerque as Scout
Former Vice City Kings and Baltimore Constellation shooting guard, Hakuna Matata, returns to GSB after taking S3 off to join the rising team of the Martians.
Matata spent her first season in the league with Vice City and was a key player in their championship run. The SG averaged 11.6 ppg, 1.7 rpg, and 3.4 apg while shooting 35% from 3 showing she was definitely a big part of the offense. Matata was also one of their best on ball defenders usually playing either guard spot to match up with the opposing team's best scorer as well. After S1 Matata left to take over ownership of a new expansion team, The Baltimore Constellation.
During S2 in Baltimore Matata finished the year 2nd in scoring only behind rookie Dior Island. She finished S2 with averages of 16.8 ppg, 2.6 rpg, 2.5 apg and shooting 39% from 3 showing the jump she made from her rookie season to being the go to option on her new team. The Constellation wasn't able to make the playoffs but they had a promising first year expansion season behind the play of Matata.
During S3 Baltimore made the jump to 9-5 and made the semi-finals in the playoffs, as well as the Albuquerque Martians. With the Martians already having 3 PGs and 1 SG it is interesting to see if Matata will be transitioning to SF or if the Martians potentially have someone on the move here shortly. Either way, the Martians gain a valuable and productive wing that will only strengthen this team to potentially have them make a finals run next season.
