Halfway to Mars

The Albuquerque Martians were another S2 expansion team that had a very rough season last year. The Martians made some questionable trades and they just didn’t have the experience and talent to compete at a high level. However, the Martians did figure something out during the last 2 weeks of the regular season that carried momentum for them during all of S3 to push them into the Season 3 Playoffs and now the Semi-Finals.

Adam Sala and Brent Lane were 2 pieces that were picked up during the offseason that played a vital role for the team to give them more talent and depth throughout the lineup. Al Ingram III turned from a very mid bench player to a top 5 MVP & MIP candidate this year, along with all-star teammate Jason Peace who also made the top 5 MIP list. Anthony Stover continues to be a defensive menace each season and Justin Banks keeps on being Mr. Consistent for the Martians. Former Owner, John Fowler, has been a very key piece for Albuquerque off the bench as he’s in 6MOTY talks and is their go-to option when Ingram is off the floor.

Coach/Co-Owner Gamers has done a fantastic job this season turning the Martians future around and has this team looking like the prime Warriors from 3. There is a lot to like about this team and you have to be excited to see how this team squares off against a slower, but bigger Seattle team. The Martians are only halfway to Mars, but can they fully reach it?
