GSB S3 | Week 3

Our second game sees the NOLA Riders visiting the Dallas Flying Stallions for a Gulf Coast matchup. The Dallas Flying Stallions will be looking to get their first win of the season after falling to the San Antonio Stampede and Seattle Orcas prior to the break. Meanwhile, the NOLA Riders will be looking to return to the win column after an incredible 40 point performance by MVP front runner Brendan Goshay was cancelled out by a close victory to the Oakland Otters. These two teams will be eager to get a win to set the tone for the rest of the season.

Players To Watch

Brendan Goshay

As mentioned, Goshay had a jaw dropping performance against the Oakland Otters in week 2, putting on a clinic in scoring as he set the single game GSB record with 40 points in a single game. However, with the Riders not ending up winning the game despite Goshay's scoring, will he be able to lead his team to a victory or will Goshay's record setting pace be for nothing?

Eli Simmons

Veteran Eli Simmons was quiet but solid in his Riders debut, scoring 7 points and grabbing 5 boards. The two time All-GSB forward will be looked upon to make a bigger impact, especially when going up against the combo of crafty 2nd year PF Tavian Tyree, who's off to a hot start, and Jus Blaze who's also having a good season so far. Will Eli be able to slow down the combo of Blaze and Tyree while also be able to get going himself?

Che'rry Je'llo

In a flurry of trades during the league's break, one of the most interesting is the deal that saw former 6MOTY Toby Knerr moved to the Virginia Merfolk in exchange for Kameron Kaine. With the departure of Knerr, who will step up as a playmaker for the Flying Stallions? Je'llo was not getting as much playing time as wanted prior to the break, but maybe with this change he will start to see more minutes in the DFS rotation?

Perry Pinkard

Enough has been said recently about Kanin Abel who's a MVP favorite and the face of the DFS organization. However, someone who probably goes under the radar is Perry Pinkard. The SG is arguably one of the most underrated players in the league and aside from Je'llo, he will be called upon to make up for the production lost when Knerr was traded.

Prediction: Riders 92 - Flying Stallions 99
