Portland Vets Looking To Take A Leap

With Portland's current state it is easy to assume they are finally rebuilding after having a very successful first 3 seasons in the league. The Pioneers are one of the few OG Season 1 brands still in the league, and this season they are led by their 2 longest tenure players in Rashadi Ish and Devan Davis.

Devan Davis had been with Portland since Week 3 in Season 1 after a trade from the Las Vegas Jokers. Davis was mainly a backup to star PG Hoe Jarris during the regular season averaging 9 points per game and 3 assists per game during the season. The S1 playoffs is where Davis fully broke out averaging 19 points per game in the 6 playoff games Portland played in before losing game 3 in the Semi Finals. During S2 and S3 Davis would go back to his backup role being Hoe Jarris in S2 and Slimmer Puffenstuff in S3.

Going into S4 the starting job finally seems to 100% belong to Davis as he’s poised to have a big breakout season that's been way overdue. Davis will be the main playmaker on the team and a top 2 option this season as he helps guide the Portland Pioneers in this new era they are going in.

The 2nd vet poised to have a breakout season as well is Rashadi Ish. Ish has been with Portland his entire 3 season career, and likely will be the main scoring threat in Portland for S4. Ish has improved every season during the regular season, and now with this season being his chance to shine I could easily see him averaging over 15 points per game and potentially securing his first all-star selection.

With a team of 6 rookies on the roster, and Davis and Ish being the only two S1 players on the roster it is very easy to assume who will be leading the ship this season. Both players have shown tremendous promise during their career in the GSB and now both get the opportunity to finally put it on full display this season for Portland.
