The Arrival of Baltimore
The Arrival of Baltimore
By Tim Riggins
The Baltimore Constellation came into GSB as an expansion team in S2. Big men in Jamal Davis and Thomas LeClaire were one of the better big men duo in the league as rookies, while Shanahan and Shuttlesworth were key pieces that solidified themselves as part of the future in Baltimore. The team had a solid start before they started to tank for more assets to compete in S3, and boy did that pay off.
The team signed player/coach Tim Riggins who was arguably a top 10 player in the league the prior 2 seasons playing 1B to Truck Turner’s 1A. Riggins was a consistent all-star and all-gsb player, and signed with Baltimore in the offseason to try to lead his own team. The team also pursued a sign and trade with guard Aldo Huxley who saw a huge leap in production this season becoming the first teammate duo (with Riggins) to be in the top 5 MVP voting. Jack Lawosn and Ernesto Romero were also big additions to the team as they have played a vital role to the teams success both in regular season and round 1 of the playoffs. Even with the post play having a down year this season, the defense of Davis and LeClaire have still been elite as they controlled the paint all season long.
GM/Owner Luke has done a wonderful job orchestrating the team’s building plan as soon as he stepped into office, and has this season heading in the right direction for the foreseeable future. His player, Arthur Morgan, is also the only rookie on the team that seems to potentially be on an all-rookie team as well.
