Truck Ackles Named S3 DPOY

Going into S3 there was a lot of pressure on Truck Ackles when the roster lost All-Gsb S2 center in Dolph. Ackles started alongside Dolph during that season but when Dolph retired everyone was wondering if Ackles could control the paint by himself. After the S3 season concluded everyone made sure they would never question that again as Ackles had arguably the best defensive season by any big in GSB history.

Ackles finished last season averaging 9.1 rebounds per games, 2.5 blocks per game, and 1.1 steals per game for the Sea Dogs which helped him be named defensive player of the year, as well as being named All-GSB 1st Team center. The center was a big reason why the newly revamped roster and rebranded team made the playoffs finishing the regular season with a winning record of 8-6.

With Ackles’s contract coming up I wouldn't be surprised if every team contacted him in order to gain his services for their team next season. Atlantic City will have their hands full fending off any team that can afford his likely max contract this offseason if they want to retain their DPOY.
