GSB S3 | Week 3

The Orcas from Seattle step into this game tonight looking to ride the success of their last matchup after they bested an always solid Dallas squad. Will be looking forward to seeing Seattle’s trio of centers clang and bang down low against the Spaghetti Man from New York.

Speaking of the Spaghetti Man, Angelo Marciano will have a tough task ahead of him tonight as New York looks to put a W in the win column for the first time this season. Hopefully they can find a way to use their home court advantage to muster up a win against a well oiled Seattle team.

Players To Watch

Jim C. Williams

“Him” C. Williams has been a phenomenal asset for Seattle for the entirety of his time there. The Geogian Giant continues to pull off incredible feats of offense for a man of his size. At 7’3 350lbs, he is a formidable force in the paint. Tonight he looks to replicate his great night from week 2 where he scored 22 points on Dallas

Dub Stern

The 6’7 guard proved last week that he doesn’t need to use extended pressure (que Vietnam flashback) to be a menace in the steals department. Dub helped his team secure the dub by netting 5 big time steals last week and then 3 the week before. I expect him to cause misery to ball handlers again tonight. So New York guards beware…

Angelo Marciano

The GSB Spaghetti Man himself is back for week 3 and looks to use his lanky frame to block everything in sight. He recorded 3 blocks in his last outing. If he (along with Dior Gore) can manage to keep Seattles trio of Centers at bay, that would go a long way to securing a win here tonight.

Ant Thomas

Despite not securing a win yet this season, New York has to be pleased with Ant’s output so far. He’s currently 4th in PPG and will no doubt be the guy that the Skyliners rally behind tonight. Will be super important that he protects the ball against some sticky Seattle hands. If he can control the ball and get some of his other teammates involved, notably sharpshooter Sarah Counterman, then New York has a good chance to come out of this one on top.

Prediction: Seattle 110 - New York 95
